Roger L. Sass Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roger L. Sass of Rockford, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roger left this world on October 20, 2024 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Sass and Wayne Sass; his wife Paula Sass; his son Todd Sass; his aunt Marguerite Sass; and his brother-in-law Robert Reber.

He is survived by: his sister Donna Reber; his daughters, Paulette Caniano (Frank), Mitzi Magdziarz (Augie) and Kristine Sass Carey; his grandchildren, Brooke Peterson (Mike), Marissa Caniano, Nicholas Caniano (Jaclyn Smith), Kyla Brown (Dustin), Jake Carey, Dillon Carey, Stephanie Suhr (Doug) and Matt Magdziarz (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Sophie, William Peterson, Benjamin, Lucy Brown, Hannah, Keegan, Katelyn, Aiden Suhr and Remy Magdziarz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Genandt Chapel (602 N Elida St, Winnebago, IL 61088). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery (184 S Pecatonica Rd, Pecatonica, IL 61063).
