She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Lewis and Cella Lewis; her former husband Hubert White; her spouse Lonnie James Gray; her daughters, Deloris Crudep, Geraldine Vawters and Wanda Howard; and her siblings, Mattie Pearl Lewis, Jane McIntee, Ezell Chaney, Mabelle Robinson, Minnie Mary Harmon, Lillie Henry-Griffin, Ruby Mae Robinson, Betty Ruth Mabry, Excell Lewis and Tom Lewis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lillian Bryant (Norman) and Caroyln Gray-Redmond; her stepdaughter Gayle Cook; her siblings, Mary Jim Lewis, Shirley Bell and Johnny Claude Riley (Pat); and her goddaughters, Tywonnie Stephens, Bernelda Clark, Verdene Sims and Marchal Stewart. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (4726 Jasper St, Rockford, IL 61101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
