Robert E. Leake Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2025, at the age of 80, Robert E. Leake Jr. of Rockford, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elwood and Delores Leake Sr. (DeGroot); and his wife Linda S. Leake (Pepin). He is survived by: his daughter Deb (Dan); his sister Beverly Boyer (James); his nieces, Michelle Boyer (Dion) and Renee Boyer; and his nephew Greg Boyer. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home (925 3rd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
