It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Polyhronis Avramopoulos of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 94, on October 26, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Panagiota Avramopoulos (Famelos) and George Avramopoulos; his brother Athanasios Avramopoulos; and his sister-in-law Presvytera Demetra Avramopoulos (Famelos). He is survived by: his wife Angeliki (Papadopoulos); his children, George Avramopoulos, Peter Avramopoulos (Rosa), Rev. Fr Chris Avramopoulos (Presvytera Nicole) and Maria Kemp (James); his granddaughters, Ruby and Ivy Kemp; and his brother Vasilios Avramis (Ana). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, a wonderful goddaughter and beloved friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (108 N 5th St, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
