He is survived by: his children, Shon Adkins and Kathy Adkins; his grandchildren, Eric Luker, Brittany Hammer and Anthony Heaslip; his great grandchildren, Audrina Hammer and Ryan Hammer; and his pet Toby J. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Spring Creek United Church of Christ (4500 Spring Creek Rd, Rockford, IL 61114). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
