We bid farewell to Paul C. Bruns (Rockford, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Paul touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Fredrick and Evelyn Marie Bruns (Kelley); his daughter Lisa Ann; and his sister Jean Ann Bruns. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Lydia Rakow; his children, Pamela Stephanson (David), Jeffrey Bruns (Kris) and Paula Landdeck (Kevin); his grandchildren, Lisa, Bri, Nathan, Michael, Philip (Siobhan), Ronald Stephanson (Pamela), Lydia and Laura Bruns; and his great grandchild Ruby Stephanson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (827 16th St, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Willwood Burial Park (7000 W State St, Rockford, IL 61102).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis, or to Lutheran Bible Translators.
