Odell D. Simpson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Odell D. Simpson of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucain Simpson and Birda Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie J. Simpson; his daughters, Tracena Simpson and LaTasha Vella; his grandsons, JaDarious Ducksworth, J'Mal Ducksworth and JaVareynn Tate; his great grandchildren, Ni'Yanee Ducksworth and Ja'Zaryee Tate; his siblings, Leon "Tucker" Simpson, Jerry Simpson (Vicky), Adell Rucks, Margaret Smith, Betty Simpson, Ophelia Worrell (Ariel) and Stephanie Johnson (Ralph); and his godchildren, Shawn Hollingshed, Monica Smith (Randy) and Marsha Allen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church (3000 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
