Michael E. Covey Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael E. Covey of Rockford, Illinois, born in Macomb, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Covey and Lela I. Covey (Root). He is survived by: his wife Shayla Covey (Allardyce); his daughter Nicole R. Swanson (Robert); his grandchildren, Ashlie M. Liebelt, Brittany N. Barone (Giuseppe) and Robert M. Swanson Jr.; his great grandchild Amelia Jo Barone; and his siblings, Carole Osborn (Wes), Shelley Wolter (Rick) and Kevin Covey (Christa).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Life Church – South Campus.
