He is survived by: his son Joe; his wife Pasqua Grisanzio; his sons, Joseph Battista (Brenda) and Jim Battista (Andie); his grandchildren, Michael Battista (Patricia Corona), Celeste Battista (Charlie Schweinler), Noel Battista, Olivia Battista and Annabella Battista; his great grandchildren, Joseph and Eden; his sister Antoinette Wagner (Don); and his caregivers, Oleksandra Koshyk, Ilona Holod, Becky Pierce, Dr. Steven DiSanti and Michael. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (6254 Valley Knoll Dr, Rockford, IL 61109). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery - Winnebago/Rockford (8616 W State Rd, Winnebago, IL 61088).
