He is survived by: his mother Judy Marx; his son Dustin Marx; his sister Tamara Marx; his grandson Izayah Marx; his niece Rachel Lopez (Abel); his nephew Jared Hemenway (Grace); and his great-nieces, Evelyn Lopez and Camille Lopez. He is also survived by numerous friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael can be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
