Maxine E. Lenker Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maxine E. Lenker (Rockford, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Max H. Kirschbaum and Florence Kirschbaum (Galbraith); and her niece Michele Thorn. She is survived by: her husband Michael Lenker; her sons, Tom and Matt Grimes; her sister Harriet Retzke; and her sister-in-law Kris Lenker.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (6254 Valley Knoll Dr, Rockford, IL 61109).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Maxine's name to St. Rita Catholic Church in Rockford or St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit.
