She was predeceased by: her husband Wally Sturm; her parents, Leo Rizzoli and Florence Rizzoli (Glass); and her brother John Rizzoli. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Larson (Tim), Richard Sturm (Linda Sheridan), John Sturm (Liz) and Charlie Sturm; her grandchildren, Ben Larson (Sarah Widder), Sam Larson, Karl Sturm, Mary Sanchez (Josue), Jacob Sturm, Keenan Sturm and Aaron Fishe; her great grandchild Javier Sanchez; her sister-in-law Jeanne Rizzoli; and her close friend Marilyn Dougherty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rockford Park District Foundation will be used to plant a tree in her honor next to the one planted for Wally in Aldeen Park.
