With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marianne Meyer of Rockford, Illinois, born in Hamburg, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Though Marianne may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marianne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She is survived by: her husband Hermann J. Meyer; her children, Thomas Meyer (Luz), Andreas Meyer and Veronika Markgraf (Greg); her granddaughters, Gretchen Buchanan (Zach) and Brianna Markgraf (Joe Novak); her great grandchildren, Adeline Buchanan, Isaac Buchanan and Lola Novak; and her close friend Anne Osterberg.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111).
