With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mae Babe Stonewall of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William Hall; her husbands, Donald Sowl Sr., Roe Wanke and Bill Stonewall; her grandchildren, Christine and Donny; her great grandchildren, Nick and Michael; her mother H. Vivian Hall (Forberg); and her siblings, Bill, Lefty, Virginia, Ruthie and Burl.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Sowl (Cheryl), Dana Sowl (Sandy), Sandy Orsborne and David Sowl (June); and her brother George Hall. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
