Larry D. Newman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry D. Newman of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Larry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Madge; and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his sons, John Newman of New York City, Charles Newman (Aurelia Raicu) of Chicago, David Newman (Roberta Monigold) of Machesney Park and James Newman of Roscoe; and his grandchildren, Lucas, Max, Mason and Savanna Newman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel (1860 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107).
