With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph J. Clinton Sr. (Rockford, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joseph had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Joseph may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clinton and Anna Clinton; his wife Shirley May Clinton; his son Patrick James Clinton (Colleen); and his granddaughter Darcy Sue Clinton.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph John Clinton Jr. (Dorothy), Thomas Michael Clinton (Linda), Robert Allen Clinton Sr. (Barbara) and Debra Ann Kniep (Steve); and his daughter-in-law Colleen Rae Clinton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maywood Evangelical Free Church (3621 Samuelson Rd, Rockford, IL 61109). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
