He was predeceased by: his father William Edward Whaley. He is survived by: his mother Rose Marie Whaley (Carpenter); and his siblings, Kathy Wilkinson (Scott), William Whaley, Jr. (Ann), Kim Boyer (Ron), Corrine Slindee (Bill), Chuck Brown and Robin Franklin (Tom). He is also survived by 7 nephews, 5 nieces, and 14 great nephews and great nieces.
A memorial fund is established in John's name for the American Heart Society Research Department and may be directed to his family.
