He is survived by: his parents, John Otwell and Lytha Otwell (Howard); his children, Cindy Diehl (Val), Doug Otwell (Nancy), Nancy Folliard (Bill) and Greg Otwell (Barb); his grandchildren, Josh Bennett (Chrissy), Chad McLester, Ben Otwell (Andrea Swing-Kaiser), Adam Otwell (Jennifer), Dylan Otwell, Kaitlyn Folliard and Allie Otwell (Alex Sewall); and his great grandchildren, Ben Jr, Natalie, Noah, Cole and Myla.
In lieu of flowers memorials to either Rockford Police Relief Association or the Rockford Rescue Mission.
