He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvid M. Swanson and Minnie I. Swanson (Knudson); his son Timothy Swanson; his brother Stanley Swanson; and his brother-in-law Braden Thor.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna D. Barnes; his son Daniel Swanson (Cathy); his grandchildren, Claire, Jack, Ryssa Swanson and Sarah Swanson; and his sister-in-law Lila Thor.
