He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Newell and Agnes Newell (Kurkerewicz); and his siblings, Edward Newell, Susan Harlan (Gary) and Cynthia Harlan (Dean).
He is survived by: his wife Pat Newell; his sons, James Newell Jr. of Palm Bay, FL and David Newell (Linda) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa), Carrie, Kenny, Ashley and Blake; his great grandchildren, Jasin, Kashton, Kailey, Aubree, Brayden, Brynlee and Brycen; his brother John Newell (Deanne); and his sister-in-law Jill Newell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Northern Illinois Hospice or a charity of your choice.
