James F. McGee Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James F. McGee of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. McGee and Charlotte McGee. He is survived by: his wife Judith K. McGee; his children, Katherine Schmid (Matthew), James (Mary Ann), Margaret Squires (Andrew), Michael, Patrick (Katherine), John (Angie), Maureen McGee, Colleen McGee, Daniel (Brittany) and Bridget Piekarczyk (Peter); his grandchildren, Anna, Jimmy, Maggie, Michael, Raymond (Sarah), Tommy (Hope), David, Gretchen, Christopher (Paula), Charlotte, Ada, Bridget (Ben), Jack, Patrick, Emma, Kelly, Sean, Molly, Danny (Lily), Meghan, Liam, Aidan, Alex and Zoe; and also, Jerome, Michael and Patrick. He is also survived by the oldest of four brothers.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory - Riverside (3910 N Rockton Ave, Rockford, IL 61103).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the David & Kelly McCarthy Scholarship (https://www.foundationrockford.org), supporting scholarship students at Boylan Catholic High School, a cause close to Jim's heart.
