James Edward Onley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Onley of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Onley (Hertzner) and Truman Onley; his siblings, Jerry and Betsy; his daughter Cheryl Legge; his great grandchild Braden James Price; and his nephews, Carl and Chuck.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Lori Price (Terry), Teresa McCormick and Kevin Onley (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Terry Scott Price, Jordan Bell (David), Matthew Legge, Madison Onley (Aaron Woods) and Miranda McCormick; and his great grandchildren, TJ, Lainey Price, Makenna Price, Braxton Price, Gracelyn Bell and Drake Bell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (6286 Linden Rd, Rockford, IL 61109). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memories Cemetery.
