He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Sr. Byars and Edna Byars; and his brother William "Billy" Byars. He is survived by: his siblings, Don Byars Jr. (Lauretta), Eurslyn Byars Hines and Katie Byars. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. (200 N Johnston Ave, Rockford, IL 61101). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
