She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenza Thompson and Samantha Thompson; her husband James Lee Brown; and her former husband Robert Jones Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Brown, Anthony Brown, Ruth Thompson, Delores Jones, Patricia Brown and Laurette Brown; her grandchildren, Kimberly Buchanan (David), Kelly McNeal (Falando), Shayla Treadwell (Jeremy), Keara Thompson, Orlando Brown and Jamar Jones; her great grandchildren, Myles, Mason, Landyn, Kaylee and Blayze; and her siblings, Austin Thompson (Belinda), Eula Crowley and Dorothy Geddes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church (2919 19th St, Rockford, IL 61109). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
