With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerhard Mesdag of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gerhard leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gerhard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Mesdag and Maria Mesdag (Frantzen); his wife Carol Ann Mesdag (Rice); and his son Mark J. Mesdag. He is survived by: his children, Kurt Mesdag (Margaret) and Deonel Hardy; his granddaughter Ashley Hardy; and his great grandchildren, Christian and Elijah Hardt. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews; and many dear friends.
