With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Byron Morse V. of Rockford, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Byron Morse IV and Gloria Virginia Morse; his foster parents, Robert "Bob" Koppein and Margaret "Marge" Butler; and his brother-in-law Terry Rance.

He is survived by: his daughter Elane Sims (Bill); his grandchildren, John, Matthew, Natalie and Nolan; his sisters, Carol Rance, Judy Nelson (Larry), Pamela Niedzwiedzki (Jack) and Sue Richmond (Chris); and his caregiver Danielle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
