He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wyss and Minnie Wyss (Spahr); his wife Marilyn Peterson; and his siblings, Richard, Kenneth, John (Jack) and Mardell Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Deetjen (David) of Naperville and Karen Ippen (Steven) of Madison, WI; his grandchildren, Marc Deetjen, Grace Walder, Kevin Ippen and Erin Ziebarth; and his great grandchildren, Luke Deetjen, Micah Deetjen, Rebekah Walder, Benjamin Ippen, Owen Ippen and Zoey Ziebarth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center (3470 N Alpine Rd, Rockford, IL 61114).
