With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy M. Gesswein (Rockford, Illinois), born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul (Angeline "Cuccia" Payette) and Rockford; and her stepmother Faye Payette. She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Martin (Jason) and Judith Sahlstrom (Thomas); her grandchildren, Christine Zaccaria, Andrea Hibbard (Michael), Brian Hicks (Kelly) and Charles Stein (Ritika); her great grandchildren, Abby Zaccaria, Austin Hicks, Noah Hibbard, Alyssa Hicks, Aiden Hibbard, Dylan Gaffney, Maddux Hibbard, Charlie Stein and Raiyan Stein; her great great grandchild Paisley Hibbard; and her sister Lynn Radville.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rita's Catholic Church (6254 Valley Knoll Dr, Rockford, IL 61109). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
