With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Soderberg of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anderson and Edith Anderson (Swenson); her husband LeRoy M. Soderberg, Sr.; her son LeRoy "Wink" M. Soderberg, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Darlene "Deedee" Soderberg; and her grandson Paul Leighty.
She is survived by: her children, John Soderberg (Kim), Marlene Soderberg, Darlene Leighty (Steve), Monica Enstrom (George) and Steve Soderberg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
