Dolores M. Shank Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores M. Shank of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Crocker and Wilhelmina Crocker; her husband Dick; her siblings, Rosalie Garrison, Dorothy Winebrenner, Ruth Blecker and Leo Crocker; and her nephews, Norman Garrison and Casey Crocker.
She is survived by: her children, Deanna Martin (John) of Sycamore, Doug Shank (Julie) of Huntley, Rick Shank of Mt. Morris and John Shank (Maria) of Nokomis, Florida; her grandchildren, Micki Shank, Ryan Martin (Kelly), Josy Weyers (Korey), Megan Mecum (Matt), Jonathan Ritchie (Sara), Benjamin Shank (Morgan) and Brady Shank (Gabrielle Ellstrom); and her great grandchildren, Brad, Josh Mecum, Bryce Martin, Owen, Ethan, Aiden Weyers, Ella, Otto Ritchie and Isla Conley-Shank.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home - Oregon (110 S 7th St, Oregon, IL 61061). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Mary Catholic Church (301 N 4th St, Oregon, IL 61061).
Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice or The Let Freedom Ring Committee.
