With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel W. Burton of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton and Vivian Burton (Markson); and his siblings, Mark, David and Betty.

He is survived by: his wife Debra; his son Dan (Sheila); his grandchildren, Sabrina, Michael, Nicky, Bella and Bryent; his brothers, John (Teri) and Randy (Teri); and his in-laws, Dorine, Jim Sue (Linda) and Pam. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist in covering Daniel's medical costs.
