In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Charles leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Charles may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Doby and Selmer Doby. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Doby; his children, Charles Doby Jr. (LaGuanda), Larry Purifoy (Shawnee), Kevin Purifoy, Shirley Robinson and Sandy Purifoy (Patrick Patterson); and his siblings, Darlene Hunter (E. J.) and Norman Moore (Marcia). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Pachuta. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Church.
