With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Edward Jefferson Sr. of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Victoria Jefferson; his wife Genell Blair; his parent Lee Andrew Jefferson Sr.; his brother Robert Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Chantell Olsten and Katisha "Pooh" Davis.
He is survived by: his sons, Carl Edward Jefferson, Charles E. Jefferson Jr. and Curtis Lamar Sr.; and his siblings, Lee Andrew Jefferson Jr. (Della), Kenneth Jefferson, Rev. Frank Jefferson Sr. (Bonnie), Joyce Sallis, Linda Pate, Dorthy Foster (Duane), Patsy Jones (Kenneth), Amie Belcher and Karen Thompson (Zachary). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the The Coronado (314 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
