With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carroll Gene McGee Sr. of Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 22, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leory McGee and Rosie McGee; his son Michael Jackson; and his siblings, Shirley Farrar, Marvin, Roger and Gregory McGee.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine McGee, Michelle Frison (Tyrone), Dale Bland (Jessie Mae), Carroll McGee Jr. (Felicia), Terry McGee Sr., Glen McGee, Roger McGee Sr. (Bev), Quintin McGee and Jaimie (Junior); and his siblings, Carolyn Lenoir, Mable McGee, Sharron Dear, Rosie Brown, Leroy McGee, Willie Frank McGee (Gwen) and Gary McGee (Shelinda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church (3000 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
