We bid farewell to Carmela P. Cascio of Rockford, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Carmela touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Serafino Gaziano and Rose Gaziano (Conti); her husband Angelo V. Cascio; her in-laws, Luca and Frances Cascio; and her sister-in-law Jane Gaziano.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Terese Cascio; her siblings, Joseph L. Gaziano (Jacquie Lewis), Angelo M. Gaziano, Theresa B. Gaziano-Steffan (Raymond Steffan) and Mary J. Gaziano; and her pets, Luca and Rosa. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church (2400 Bell Ave, Rockford, IL 61103). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery - Winnebago/Rockford (8616 W State Rd, Winnebago, IL 61088).
