Calvin L. Nelson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calvin L. Nelson of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Calvin is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelson and Mildred Nelson; and his sister Gloria Alex. He is survived by: his sons, Ian Nelson (Kayla) and Joe Nelson (Kayla Severide); his grandchildren, Nevaeh Nelson and Jaxson Williams; his brothers, William Nelson Jr. and Fred Nelson; the mother of his children Janet Nelson (Hocking); and his nephew Mark Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
