He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gerse and Clara Gerse; his wife Lois; and his sister Jean. He is survived by: his children, Steve Gerse (Marion) of Woodland Hills, CA, Dave Gerse (Jackie) of Overland Park, KS and Linda Wuerzburger (Dan Lavine) of Erie, IL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (1230 5th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Bill's name to First Lutheran Church.
