Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nancy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Carothers (DeSmet) and William Carothers Sr.; her husband Bill; and her brother William Carothers Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Diana Leaf (Peter); her grandchildren, Yvonne Lynch (Mike) and Tyler Leaf; and her brothers, Robert Carothers and John Carothers (Kelly). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory - Rock Island (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
