She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Murphy and Genevieve Potts Murphy; her husband Walter Schaecher; her siblings, James, John, Robert, Stephen and Angela Murphy; and her daughter-in-law Susan Schaecher.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff Schaecher (Mary Anne) of Rock Island, Mark Schaecher (Susie) of Rock Island, Joseph Schaecher of Rock Island, Lisa Stear (Craig) of Byron, IL and Sarah Krase (Scott) of Wheaton, IL. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in care of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, or the Quad Cities Right to Life.
