He is survived by: his mother Juanita Gordon of Springfield, IL; his close friend Zarinah Thompson of Rock Island, IL; his children, Chase L. Barnes of Indianapolis, IN, Terrence Davis of Springfield, IL and Toya Marie Gordon of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Alpha Jr. Gordon (Bonita) of Springfield, IL, Ella Joe Gordon of Springfield, IL and Linette Gordon Johnson (Edward) of Maryland; and his aunts and uncles, Willie of Springfield, IL, Joe Berry of Springfield, IL, Maime Berry of Springfield, IL, Derline Gordon of Springfield, IL, Dollie Mae Griffin of Houston, MS and Cornelia Woodward of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ruby Funeral Services & Crematories, Inc. (1520 E Washington St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1520 E Washington St, Springfield, IL 62703).
