With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen J. McGinnis of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on November 13, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Orton and Bertha Orton; and her siblings, Leonard Orton of Kenneth, James Orton, Minnie Campbell and Marlene Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Daniels of Chariton, Denise Stewart of Conyers, Debbie Lowery of Laurel and Leonard McGinnis of Rock Island; and her grandchildren, Alan Daniels, Leonard McGinnis, Jr., Amber Stewart and Ashley McGinnis. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Horizon Room at Trimble Pointe (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265). A reception was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the CityView Room at Trimble Pointe (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265).
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Helen's memory.
