It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold D. Newenham of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Newenham and Maude Stone; and his siblings, Kenneth, Wanda Imogene and Karen.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes Finn; his brother Ronald; his children, Lori Ferguson, Lynn Chance (Derek), Thomas Newenham (Mary Jane) and Timothy Newenham; and his grandchildren, Ian Ferguson (Bailey), Alex Newenham (Drake Grenier), Libby Chance (Drew Braet) and Bridget Ferguson (Ryan Lewis).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery (1500 31st Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alleman High School.
