We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 96, Gerald W. Nelson of Rock Island, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald W. Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Nelson and Elsie Nelson (Stearns); his daughter Paula Rae Nelson; and his brothers, Donald and Hollis Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Natalie Condit (Jeff) and Jeffrey Alan Nelson; his grandchildren, Johnathan Condit (Alyssa), Benjamin Condit, Allison Smith (Collin) and Peter Condit; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Ayla, Teddy, Lucy, Lillian and Elleanor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (700 35th Ave Pl, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church or Friendship Manor.
