With solemn reverence, we commemorate Elaine M. Jawoisz of Rock Island, Illinois, whose life came to an end on February 22, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Scheel and Emma Scheel (DeCleene); her husband Edward Jawoisz; her children, Julie Jawoisz, Jody Rivett and John E. Jawoisz; and her siblings, Kenneth Scheel and Dorothy Yotts.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeri Lauer (John) and Joni Gates (Jerry); her grandchildren, Tim Lauer (Nancy), Laura Vroman (Zach), Emily Jawoisz, Marcus Hawkins and Sara Hawkins; her great grandchildren, Averi, Evan, Max, Natalie and Imara; her son-in-law Corey Rivett; and her close friend King.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2810 5th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at the Rock Island National Cemetery (118, Rock Island, Arsenal Rock Island, IL 61201).
