The memory of Alice Epperson of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcel DeMartelaere and Paula DeMartelaere (VanLandegem); her husband Hugh G. Epperson Jr.; her son-in-law Paul Black; and her brother David DeMartelaere.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Black, Nancy Thomas (Kent) and Edward Epperson (Tammy); her grandsons, Andrew, Jeffery, Eric Black, Justin Forsyth, Trent, Troy Thomas, Jordan and Jason Epperson; and her sister Georgene Sivertsen. She is also survived by 8 great grandsons; 4 great granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Manor or a charity of your choice.
