With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia L. Garrett (Rock Falls, Illinois), born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Leathers and Mary Leathers (Richards); her husband Vernon E. Garrett; and her siblings, Thomas Leathers and Fern Leathers.
She is survived by: her children, Sonia Cummings (David Allen) of Port Richey, Fla, Jeannene Garrett of Rock Falls, Robert Garrett of Rock Falls, Rebecca Garrett of Flintstone, Brenda Morris of Lake Havasu, Ariz, Timothy Garrett of Missoula, Mont and Howard Garrett of Rock Falls; her siblings, Isabelle Taylor of Mt. Vernon, Bessie Sprehe of Hoyelton, Blanche Burge of Sterling and Doug Leathers (Shirley Barta) of Rock Falls; and her sister-in-law Marguerite Leathers of Poland, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
