He was predeceased by: his parents, Ventura Duran and Agustina Duran (Perez); his siblings, Tomasa Castaneda, Jose Duran, Jesus Duran and Mary E. Bennett; and his children, Catherine "Cat" Sewell and Joseph T. Duran.
He is survived by: his son Jesse "Chuy" Duran; his granddaughters, Justine (Anthony Montiel), Cecily, Cydney, Cymone, Cienna Sewell, Kassandra Jones (Tucker), Emmalee Nova (Eduardo) and Jessica Duran; his children-in-law, William Sewell and Kathryn Duran; his great grandchildren, Ezequil, Isabella, Meila, Sage and Melanie; his sister Juanita Duran (Frank Catalina); and his close friend Tammy Baldwin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home- Rock Falls (1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a toy item for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, or donation for tuition assistance to Newman Central Catholic High School.
