He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hodgson and Mildred Hodgson (McClerren); and his siblings, Joan Pickering and Jerry Hodgson. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Goad; his children, Timothy Hodgson (Traci) and Lori Hodgson; his granddaughters, Samantha Williams and Sydney Williams; and his great grandchildren, Emma Williams and Jonah Johnson.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Gaffey Hospice.
