He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Royer and Delores Royer (McConnell); his spouse Marlyn Insley; his son Terry Royer II; his granddaughter Shawntai Royer; his siblings, Debbie Royer, Cindy Royer and Gary Royer; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Insley and Juanita Insley.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Johnson of Dixon, Jeffrey Johnson (Stella) of Sterling and Christa Royer of Dixon; his siblings, Dale Royer (Kathleen) and Tammy Schies (Ronnie) of Rock Falls; and his brothers-in-law, Lester Insley of Sterling, Dennis Insley of Sterling and Sherman "Rick" Insley of Rock Falls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
