He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Smith and Myrtle Smith (Signor); and his stepbrother Steve Knaple. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Smith of Sterling and Ken Smith (Peggy) of Appleton, Wis.; his sister Sue Covell of Sterling; and his significant other Doris Williamson of Sterling. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
